Other ways to give.

Giving by card is the fastest, lowest-cost way for us to put your gift to work, and it’s what we’d ask for if you can. But it isn’t the only way – you can also give by direct bank transfer or cheque.

Why we prefer card

Card keeps more of your gift on the work.

We’re a very small charity, so we make every dollar and every minute of staff time count. Card donations carry the least overhead for us: the whole process is automated, right down to the receipt that reaches you the moment you give.

If you have any security concerns, you can give with confidence. We never see your card details, and neither does our provider, Raisely. Only Stripe handles them, and Stripe holds PCI Service Provider Level 1 certification, the highest in the payments industry.

If you possibly can, please give by card.

It keeps more of your donation going to the work, and less to admin. If card isn’t an option for you, here are the alternatives.

Bank transfer or cheque

Bank transfer with PayID

In your banking app, enter:
PayID: contact@oaf.org.au
Reference: your email address

A PayID-enabled service may show our name, OpenAustralia Foundation Limited, to confirm you’ve got the right account.

Bank transfer without PayID

If your bank doesn’t support PayID yet:
Account name: OpenAustralia Foundation
BSB: 633 000
Account number: 138 103 940
Reference: your email address

By cheque

Make it payable to OpenAustralia Foundation Limited and post to:
OpenAustralia Foundation Limited
38 Surrey Road, Keswick SA 5035

Include your name and email so we can send a receipt, or email us the date and amount.

We match and verify transfers and cheques by hand, so receipts can take a while. Thanks for your patience.

Why not PayPal?

We’ve stepped away from PayPal.

We used to accept PayPal, but our account was locked without warning time and again, costing us hours we don’t have. For a team our size it just wasn’t workable, so we’ve stepped away from it.

Keep the collection open

Funded entirely by donations from people who use the services and want them to keep going. We’re a registered charity – donations are not tax deductible.
